Help for Heroes anounce that they have raised an astounding £100 million. Have a look at their web site www.helpforheroes.org.uk
An additional £2,700 was raised by our Taunton Male Voice Choir at a concert in 2010.
Andrew, the chaplain of 40 Commando came to Hemyock last Saturday to talk to the group about his experiences during the 10 month station in Helmand Province where 14 of our brave young men gave their lives. He is having to deal with his own grief plus the grieving of the 14 families left to pick up the pieces. How can we comprehend their situation. How can we possibly repay them. We are all benefiting from their actions in living in our comfortable, protected situations. We will not know for another 20 to 30 years the merits of our actions.
